The theme of Connecting Land, Sea and People gives renewed focus to collaboration between the UK 皇冠体育国际娱乐 for Ecology & Hydrology and Bangor University, maximising the benefits of our co-location at Environment 皇冠体育国际娱乐 Wales in Bangor. The theme will enhance existing strengths and build on the close relationship fostered at the site. It draws together teams from both institutes to drive knowledge generation, build equitable communities, increase income generation and train future researchers.
It will enable terrestrial, coastal, marine and social scientists to embed change and work across traditional disciplinary boundaries. Both organisations are funding two new posts each to underpin work on the renewed collaboration.
Environmental scientists based at Environment 皇冠体育国际娱乐 Wales carry out groundbreaking research in areas like coastal ecology, saltmarsh restoration, peatlands, molecular ecology and much more. Their work has international impact, evident in collaborations with institutions worldwide and publications in prestigious journals.
