Professional summary
I am a research associate at the UK 皇冠体育国际娱乐 for Ecology and Hydrology within the Hydroclimate Risks (Climate systems) science group. I did my MS and PhD in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Maryland- College Park. During my graduate studies, I worked on several NASA projects that aimed to improve spatiotemporal modelling of seasonal snow, soil moisture, and runoff via data assimilation in High Mountain Asia. I also worked with the World Bank to study the resilience of rural infrastructure in a changing climate across Bangladesh. Currently, I work on developing AI-powered nowcasting frameworks for convective clouds across west and southern Africa. My collaborations with regional organizations in High Mountain Asia and West Africa revolve around improving hazard preparedness in developing countries.
